Casino Hotels
Four Canadian casino hotels, written up as hotels with a gaming floor among their features.
-
Montreal Casino & Hotel
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
This property occupies two pavilions built for Expo 67 on Île Notre-Dame, an island in the St. Lawrence River facing downtown Montreal.
The former French pavilion, with its curving ribbed facade, is joined to the Québec pavilion beside it. Restaurants, bars and a cabaret stage share the complex, and the tall windows look across the water to the city. The gaming floor spreads over several levels inside.
-
Fallsview Casino Resort
Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
High on the Canadian side of the Niagara gorge, Fallsview's hotel tower looks toward the Horseshoe Falls.
Many rooms frame the falls or the river below. A spa, a shopping galleria and a range of restaurants sit inside the complex, and a large theatre hosts concerts and comedy through the year. The gaming floor is extensive, though for plenty of guests it is the view they remember.
-
River Rock Casino Resort
Richmond, British Columbia, Canada
On the bank of the Fraser River in Richmond, close to Vancouver International Airport, River Rock brings together a hotel, a theatre and a marina.
Suites face the river or the mountains to the north. An indoor pool, a show theatre and several restaurants fill out the property, and the marina receives visiting boats in season. Gaming is one part of a resort that also serves travellers between flights.
-
Casino Rama Resort
Rama, Ontario, Canada
Casino Rama Resort stands on the lands of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, near Orillia in Ontario's lake country.
A hotel tower, a spa and a large entertainment centre bring visitors north from Toronto, often for an evening show and a night's stay. Lake Couchiching is close by, and the region is known for shoreline and cottage country. The gaming floor connects directly to the hotel.
